Silly Papa....

Another example of Papa doing whatever Owen wants him to do....Owen is pretending like Papa is a baby. He puts a bib on him and give him a bottle. The trouble begins when Papa acts like he is going to drink it....Then, Owen begins doing his sign language for "please." He does not want him to actually drink it. =)

Mansfield Pecan Festival....

Every year Mansfield has a Pecan Festival, which is like a carnival complete with the junk food and game booths. We invited our friends, the Villarreal's, Hogan's and Wyatt's to go with us. The boys had a blast! There were booths set up everywhere of different vendors from Mansfield. Each booth was giving away goodies for the kids.

We walked through the vendor part first, and then went to the petting zoo. Owen loved the animals. He was not at all afraid. The boys got to pet and brush the animals. At one point Owen walked over to the pop-belly pig, and raised his shirt to show his belly. We were laughing so hard, and Shane just happen to get a picture.

Big shoes to fill....

One of Aidan's favorite things to do is get in mommy and daddy's bed and watch tv. He has gotten into the habit of doing it every night. I don't mind because I get to snuggle with him when I go to bed. Shane went to check on him the other night and this is what he saw: Owen has some big shoes to fill! His daddy is the best! Not only was he trying the shoes on, he will also tell you "shoooos." He is growing so fast. He is saying momma, daddy, Aidan, outside, snack, nigh nigh, drink, and some others. Of course they sound like babbling to the untrained ear, but to us it is perfect. =)

Harvest Moon Festival....

Papa invited us to go to the Asian market for their Harvest Moon Festival. We were definitely a minority there. It was very interesting to see how they celebrate the Harvest Moon. Shane saw a few of his students, and they were surprised to see him there. Papa and I took this picture in front of Buddha and I put my hand on his belly. It was really funny.

In the pictures below we are eating. I really ventured out, and ordered chicken fried rice. =) Papa and Elsa decided to try some dried baby crab. I was gagging, so of course I did not try them. They are so brave! Both said it was crunchy....YUCK!!

After we ate we went outside to see the dragon parade. The boys were restless, so Elsa went inside and bought them some swords to play with. Papa bought them some of those poppers, and they had a blast. After waiting around for the parade for 1 hour, we decided it was time to go to Sonic for a junior banana split. Now that is something I would eat! The festival was fun, and it was very interesting to walk through the market place. They had some very interesting stuff in there.

GIVE Fundraiser....

A few years ago, my dad went to Ghana, Africa on a sea turtle adventure. While he was there he got really close to Mama and Papa Agatha. They are headmasters at the Natilla School. Papa decided he would help improve the school. He has added bathrooms, electricity, classrooms, and given computers. The fundraiser was to raise money to create classrooms for a Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. He is planning on going back to Ghana in a few months. He will stay for a month or so. The event was a great success! Thanks to the band who played and all the people who made donations for the silent auction.

Share...Who me?

Owen loves to drink Aidan's chocolate milk. Owen does not get chocolate in his, so whenever his brother lays it down he gulp it up!
Then, as soon as he does, Aidan gets mad. Sometimes putting him in a head-lock.
When Aidan gets caught he immediately smile, and begins trying to make it "right."
Owen begins to "fake" cry. He just makes a face and whimpers, while looking out of the side of his eyes seeing if anyone is looking.
Brothers are so lucky to have each other, but they don't realize it.

Skinner Boys Band....

Read to me Daddy....

Owen loves to read! He will go get a book and just stand in front of you trying. He will stand there and say, "book, book, book, book," and on and on and on until you read to him. We are shocked to see he is actually interested in the book. Aidan was not interested in books, and we still struggle with him.
